During National Safeguarding Adults Week (18th -24th November 2019); we promoted the work being done by partners across the Keeping Adults Safe in Shropshire Network to ensure that staff and volunteers working with adults who may be at risk of or experiencing abuse or neglect understand their role in adult safeguarding and are working together to proactively ensure prevention and protection work is taking place.
Examples of this important work includes:
- Encouraging and enabling professionals to involve adults in their safeguarding enquiries by developing Safeguarding Enquiry Cards. For more information please visit: http://www.keepingadultssafeinshropshire.org.uk/learning-resources/information-and-learning-resources/my-enquiry-safety-plan-cards/
- A Self-Neglect and Hoarding Forum for practitioners from statutory and non-statutory agencies working within Shropshire to share good practice and develop responses to improve outcomes for adults who have difficulties with Self Neglect and Hoarding. To find out more, please contact Terry Alexander Community Protection Team Manager: Shropshire Council 0345 678 9000
